About Jamshedpur


Jamshedji Nausserwanji Tata founded, Steel City Jamshepur and shaped it perfectly to become the premier source of Indian steel. The city's adjoining areas namely, Jamadoba, Naomindi and West Bokaro are a good source of minerals like iron ore, manganese and lime.

Jamshedpur was the recipient of United Nation's, Global Compact City award in the year 2004.
