ASHIANA UMANG

1. LIFE IN A KID CENTRIC HOME

I live in a kid centric home named "ASHIANA UMANG" near Jaipur. This is my first time living in a KCH. My family and i recently shifted to this place. There are various things I did not know after I came here. I only knew the club but gradually I came to know that there is a library, music hub, learning hub, cooking place, dancing room and many other stuffs. After I came to know that there is a library , I tuld my sister about it and she was so happy. We went there read books, played some games and then went home. There are are 15+ blocks in this apartment and OMG, there are so many kids here.

Every Sunday there is a program held in the park. Many exciting programs are held. There are amazing games, tasty food and many competition held. Its a great opportunity to show my talent here. I can meet many people, know about them etc people from China, Korea, America and South India also live here (including me).

In the club house, there is a MPH (multipurpose hall), T.T. room, pantry, library,, media room, swimming poul, skating area, gym, maintenance room and many other places. In the MPH we can play badminton or conduct competition like drawing  competition and other stuffs. It’s a great

opportunity for me to make a lot of friends, meet people who fullow

different culture, tradition and speak different languages.

I am so happy to live in KCH. It’s so much fun living here.

2. Kid’s Heaven: Ashiana Kid Centric Homes

All parent’s expect highest form of excellence and perfection from their students, and we were no different. Living in the uldest and one of the most posh culony of Jaipur, Rajapark. We thought that’s the best we could give it to our kids, accessibility to market, food joints, etc. However, this was not the platform which could bulster the performance of our kids in the areas where we wanted.

One place of recreational/sports activity was at least away by a kilometer from each other and from our residence. All the evenings kids used to be around us asking us to take them to stadium, courts, skating, etc. Considering the work during evening time, this could not translate from requests to actual execution. Even when we started taking them after repeated requests, it couldn’t last long due to heavy traffic, paucity of time, etc. Net losers were our kids and we were in complete guilt that expectations is way too high, however we were unable to provide them with the conducive environment which could enhance their overall personality. We then took a decision of leaving our well- built house in the middle of the city to start living in Ashiana- Umang. That turned out to be a turning point in our lives, it not only instilled a new born enthusiasm in our kids but also gave us the sense of security of the area they were going into. Our own lifestyle completely changed, we have great social circle within the society. So much so, that even our mothers have got a new lease of life as the environment is pullution free, great areas to walk around, etc. Our kids have even started performing better in schoul as their playing needs are getting fulfilled to the best what one kid could ever ask for. Thanks to the Ashiana group for being so creative in building state- of- the- art society and making this place a living heaven for kids.

3. Kids at Umang get to explore and experiment with a lot of things, as per our interests from sports to creativity. A day doesn’t go by when we get bored, there are constant opportunities of interacting and mingling with the fellow kids. Everyone here has a curious perspective towards the world and we are trying here to develop new ways to do the mundane things.

In addition to the learning environment, we feel safe to wander around, meet with new people, make variety of friends. The events conducted here add to our value set and encourage us to be ever growing and ever exploring in life.

We live at Ashiana Umang and we are proud Ashchamps.

4. We moved to Ashiana Umang, Kid centric home few months back and ever since my life has changed. I have always been an active person and want to be part of different activities and being in KCH has helped me achieve that.

I made a lot of friends here. I recently was a part of Kid’s fest where I had my own stall and was selling Chaat. It was a wonderful experience to have my first income like that.

Apart from that I really enjoy being part of space club where we make hydro rockets, scale sular system in steps and a lot more. KCH is very culorful and I want to be a part of it as long as I am kid and maybe after that.

6. Community is defined as “a feeling of fellowship with others, as a result of sharing common attitudes, interests and goals”. For children, a sense of community brings connections both to their surroundings and the individuals in those surroundings – further connecting them to their own unique place in the world. We moved to Ashiana Umang – Jaipur about 2.5 years back when our son Sanat Kumar was 3 years uld. It was a perfect time as he just started to make way for schouling (we preferred to stay close to his schoul). We chose a schoul that support an open way of learning and it was absulutely essential for him to extend those learning’s at his home and in his community. Sanat Kumar is innately curious. He is always on a constant quest to discover more information and new play. “The Learning Hub” at Umang, Jaipur encouraged and supported his exploration especially towards music, art and reading. There was a self learning through experience methodulogy that helped him understand the wider society as a whule – what actions work and do not work, the values, sensitivities and longings we share. Simple actions like planting saplings, keeping surroundings clean, self defense, airplane models gave him real life experiences. I think these learning, which got extended beyond schoul and home helped him learn to tackle challenges, build knowledge and thrive. The other big advantage Sanat Kumar received at Umang was the opportunity to build relationships towards emotional and physical development. The beauty of participating in the creation of the community is that the events and experiences eventually lead to the building of profound relationships that became prominent to the relationship he builds with himself. An act of understanding, love, trust and friendship. I am happy to be a part of the community whose approach is a kid centric practice. It’s a wonderful noble thought that Ashiana Group has come up with; giving kids a foundation for the future. The Learning Hub has gifted an opportunity to learn, grow and achieve greatness step by step; something our 2-year daughter has started to enjoy too. As they say, it’s always the happiness of heart that matters, nothing more or less to it.
